My First Foray Into Teeth Whitening

Teeth whitening is something I’ve never really explored before, bar investing in toothpastes claiming to brighten your smiles. That was, until I tried out White Wash Laboratories Nano Intensive Teeth Whitening Kit.

Founded in 2010, the company was born because its two founders Matthew Lloyd and Tom Riley were driven to create high quality teeth whitening products that didn’t come at an astonishingly expensive price.

They have certainly succeeded...

I received the Intensive Whitening Kit, which claims to take your teeth up to 7 shades whiter in 5 days.

Included in the kit is the following:

* 28 Teeth Whitening Strips
* 2 x Intensive Whitening Gel Syringes
* 2 Boil & Bite Trays

First off, you brush your teeth for two minutes - a Nano whitening toothpaste is what’s recommended. This is what I use, as well as their Anti-Stain Floss Tape.

Then, you put on the teeth whitening strips. I found these a bit fiddly at first, but you should place one edge at the top of your gum line and wrap whatever is remaining around your teeth. These are left on for 60 minutes.

After this stage, you apply the whitening gel to the moulded trays. On first use, you boil them and place them in your mouth biting your teeth together to shape them. The moulded trays are worn for another 35 minutes.

This is a daily process - so you keep doing it until you’ve used up all the gel. The strips last a little while after.

So what did I think? Well, in short, I was really impressed.

When I envisioned teeth whitening, I imagined this really complicated process which would ultimately conclude with me looking like Ross in that episode of Friends.

Really, I needn’t have worried. This kit was so easy to use and I saw some real results that I’m definitely pleased with. If, like me, you indulged in delightfully rich foods over Christmas (which aren’t the healthiest for your teeth - I’m talking wines, sweets and fizzy drinks), this is definitely something to check out.

 Before: Above; After: Below.

The price? Surprisingly this kit comes in at just £34.95. You can also purchase the toothpaste and floss as extras, as well as a host of other products on their website.

That’s certainly calls for a dazzling big smile!
