Madame LA LA Tan and Bronzing Ball Review

10/26/2017

A couple of weekends ago I went to a wedding. Since that definitely calls for a tan, I figured what better time to try out my new Madame LA LA goodies.

I’ve tried the brand before (see my previous post), so I was really excited when they contacted me offering to send me some new tan and their bronzing ball - which I’ve been wanting to try for ages!

Excitingly, Madame LA LA have recently launched their products at Pretty Little Thing, so you can now get your tan while picking up a new outfit.

What is particularly good about this tan is that, unlike other brands, it doesn’t has that tell tale tan scent. This one smells of coconuts evoking thoughts of tropical holidays - rather than biscuits!

The tan contains coconut water, which helps to nourish the skin. Coconut water is also believed to help reduce the signs of ageing as well as act as a natural toner.

I much prefer mousse tans as I find them so much easier to apply. With this, you get a really good guide colour so you can see really easily where you’re applying,  so you can ensure there isn’t too much build up in one area.

After applying the tan, you keep it on for 12 hours before showering it off. You will see from the photos below the transition from the start to finish.

I went to bed with the tan on and impressively, there wasn’t any transfer to my bedsheets while I was asleep.

The tan completely transforms my skin and gives me a really rich golden tan!

The tan lasted really well and when it did start to wear off a few days later, it faded really naturally. I’ve used tans in the past that come off quite patchy which means you have to really intensively scrub at it. That was certainly not a problem with this one though - and this product gets an all round thumbs up from me.

To go with the tan, I also received the bronzing ball to try. I’ve seen this all over social media for ages and meant to pick it up for myself, so I was thrilled to finally get a chance to give it a whirl.

I’m a bit obsessed with bronzers and highlighters - anything to get my makeup glowing. And if ‘bronzed’ is what you want, you definitely achieve it with this.

The shape of the ball means you can easily glide it across the top of your cheekbones and blend it in, to achieve a perfect glow. Personally, for a more subtle and easily buildable look I prefer to dab it on with my fingers before buffing with a brush to give a more natural finish.

You can see from my swatch below that it comes out a glorious golden shimmer and it really sets off a tan.

I’ve been so pleased with both of these products that I definitely recommend you check them out for yourselves on the Pretty Little Thing website. You can have it on your doorstep the next day by taking advantage of their unlimited next day delivery offer for £6.99 a year.

Sounds tantastic to me!
